I bought this car on 21/05/03 with a view to turning it into a track day car. When I went to view the car, before I purchased it, it was in a very good condition with only minor rust here.
The car came to me with the following specs. It had had a +40 rebore, new pistons, crank regrind, new oil pump, new cam gears & timing chain, new 6 vane water pump and new complete clutch. The head was stripped, skimmed, ported & polished, rebuilt with new cam buckets & a new mild road cam. The HS6 carbs were jetted to suit the cam. Also fitted was an oil cooler & stat, new steering rack & new complete stainless steel exhaust system.
