Cut an 8"x4" rectangle in the LH side of the gearbox tunnel.

This is a mod I've always done on my Sprints. Cut an 8"x4" inspection cover in the LH side of the gearbox tunnel. This makes it a doddle to top up the gearbox & makes it easier to bleed the clutch.

Make sure you debur the hole with a file.

Cut a piece of sheet metal (16 swg will do) approx. ½" bigger than the hole all round. Use 6-8 self-tapping screws to fix the plate to the gearbox tunnel. I use a proprietary silicone sealant before finally fixing the cover.
